It is adorable to see how love and nursing instincts express themselves in the behavior of a little toddler. While we have ample opportunities to experience everyday love, the additional feelings that come out when mom or dad is feeling under the weather are so cute in the way they show up. Not long ago my wife had a headache and ended up lying down on my son’s playmat for a rest. She fell asleep and my son started to get a bit concerned if mom was all right. But rather than trying to wake her up, he decided to try to fix her instead and went to get his little toolbox and got his tools and accessories out. Then he got to work to heal his mom. I could not make myself intervene but instead ended up just sitting looking at how our son with care and love put different tools and screws and bolts on his mom’s face. When he was don he looked very happy and concluded that mom was fixed. And sure enough, when my sleeping beauty wife woke up she felt much better.
