the kappa and the red fish

Following the watermelon story from last year, time has come for a new story. A few weeks ago I wrote about the Japanese mythological being kappa and a red fish that I saw in the pond close by where kappa is rumored to live. When I asked my son to make a story about them, he was only happy to oblige. So here is his story.

The Kappa and the Red Fish

Once upon a time, the Kappa was swimming in the pond and the Kappa met the red fish and the red fish became happy and jumped all the way up to the clouds. And then splash, the kappa went away with a splash. So both of them went away and the people became oooooooo and all the people came and took pictures. So the Kappa and the fish looked at everyone and jumped all the way to space but now a rocket came and they landed on the rocket and they went inside and they floated around. Then they came out again and went with the rocket to the pond and the rocket landed in the water in the pond so everyone clapped their hands so it was heard all the way into space.

Then a car came swimming so the Kappa and the fish splashed in the pond and then the Kappa and the fish danced with many people and the people clapped so much that a space rocket heard it. The space rocket came and landed there and the space rocket clapped and the space people and everyone that exists in space and in the city clapped so much. Everyone that exists in space and on the planet clapped so much so that it became a concert. And everyone came and danced and made so much loud noise that it became a movie theatre, and everyone watched a magic show with the Kappa and the fish.
What is this?
Everyone said, it's a mug!
No! It is juice. What is this?
A mug!
No this is water!
What is this?
It's a car.
No this is a train.

Magic show ended. Everyone clapped so much.

The End.

I wonder if the Kappa bowed at the end of the magic show – bowing is the achilles heel of a kappa. But that is a story for another rainy day.

I thought I heard something the other day, may it have been the clapping? Or was it just a thunderstorm?
