Every autumn our son’s kindergarten organizes an art exhibition with objects and pictures that the children have created since summer. Our son has been very secretive about what they are doing. The last few weeks, when coming home he did not want to share much of his day in anticipation of having his parents come the exhibition. He was so looking forward to showing us what he and his friends had created and when Saturday morning came he was very excited and wanted us to go as we woke up.
When we came to the kindergarten they had turned the whole place into a big exhibition hall, and our son guided us around, jumping from room to room talking about what the different objects were and what flowers and paintings and sculptures he had made. It was so fun to see what our everyone had made and to experience our son’s happiness being able to show it all to his parents. And as always, my wife and I were gratefully surprised at the level of creativity and inclusion with which the teachers are preparing every day kindergarten life, and the joy they are transmitting to the children. No wonder our son loves to come to his home away from home every day.
