Finally the most beautiful time of the year is here. Before our son was born, I would take an early morning train and go to the mountains, searching for the autumn colors in nature, walking the trails with my camera and tripod and thermos with hot coffee. I would take an early morning train and go to Kamakura, the old capital of Japan, and visit the shrines and temples with their beautiful Japanese maples, ending the day watching the sun setting over the sea while watching Mt. Fuji. This year, I have been experiencing the Kyushu autumn together with my family instead.
I feel very fortunate to be living in this part of the world. It is wonderful here, the nature is close, the mountains soulful and the sea singing, and I have really been enjoying starting to explore the area that is now our home. We have taken our little car both up the mountain and to the center of Fukuoka City. And I have found the three most beautiful existences in my life – autumn colors, my wife and our son.
